Job Overview

At Scalvy, we are building next-generation scalable electronic systems. As a Junior Hardware Engineer – Power Electronics, you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of advanced electronic systems, with a strong focus on power electronics and DC-DC conversion. Ideal for early-career engineers looking to build deep technical expertise in hardware design, PCB development, and system validation.

How You Will Contribute

Power Electronics Development

  • Support the design and development of power electronic circuits and DC-DC converters
  • Assist in analyzing system performance including efficiency, thermal behavior, and stability
  • Participate in component evaluation and selection (MOSFETs, drivers, inductors, capacitors)

PCB Design & Hardware Development

  • Develop schematics and support PCB layout design
  • Assist in component placement, routing, and power distribution optimization

Hardware Bring-Up & Testing

  • Support board bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of hardware prototypes
  • Conduct testing using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)

Must-Have Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in hardware design or power electronics (internships included)
  • Basic understanding of power electronics concepts including DC-DC converters
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, or similar)
  • Strong willingness to learn and problem-solving mindset

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to embedded systems or firmware-hardware integration
  • Understanding of thermal management and efficiency optimization
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (LTspice, MATLAB, or similar)
