Inverter Control Engineer
Job Overview

As an Inverter Control Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing advanced control systems for high-performance DC/DC converters and inverter platforms. You will be responsible for designing real-time control algorithms, improving system stability and efficiency, and supporting next-generation energy conversion technologies. In this role, you will work closely with power electronics, embedded software, systems, and hardware teams to develop scalable and production-ready power conversion solutions from concept through validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement digital control algorithms for DC/DC converters and inverter systems
- Develop voltage-mode, current-mode, PID, and advanced control strategies
- Support control development for: Bidirectional DC/DC converters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), AI Data Center power platforms, High-voltage power systems
- Perform loop compensation, stability analysis, and transient response optimization
- Develop PWM generation and modulation techniques for high-efficiency power conversion
- Model and simulate power systems using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, PSIM, or LTspice
- Collaborate with embedded teams to deploy real-time control algorithms on DSPs and microcontrollers
- Support hardware bring-up, system integration, lab debugging, and validation testing
- Develop protection and fault-handling mechanisms including overcurrent, thermal, and short-circuit protection
- Analyze system performance and optimize efficiency, thermal behavior, and reliability
- Support EMI/EMC optimization and system-level integration activities
- Generate technical documentation, validation reports, and control design documentation
Strategic Responsibilities
- Contribute to next-generation power architecture and control strategy development
- Support continuous improvement of power conversion efficiency and system reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve platform scalability and robustness
- Support validation, compliance, and customer integration activities
Must-Have Requirements
- We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on engineer with strong expertise in power electronics control systems and real-time converter development.
- The ideal candidate is analytical, technically strong, and passionate about developing advanced energy conversion technologies for high-performance and safety-critical applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in inverter control, DC/DC converters, or digital power electronics
- Strong understanding of power converter topologies, control theory, PWM, and loop stability
- Experience with digital control implementation and real-time embedded systems
- Hands-on experience with lab debugging and validation tools
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or power electronics simulation tools
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
Nice-To-Have
- Experience with BESS, AI Data Centers, or high-voltage power systems
- Familiarity with TI C2000, Infineon AURIX, STM32, or FPGA platforms
- Experience with HIL/SIL validation environments
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC, functional safety, or communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet)
